Grateful people are easy to be around. Nobody wants to share a room with a complaint.

Moods travel, and complaining travels fastest because agreeing with it asks nothing of anyone. One person listing what is wrong can set the tone for a whole room inside a minute. Somebody who says what is working does the same thing in the other direction. It is not about pretending, just about which true things you say out loud.

Count how many of your first ten sentences tomorrow are complaints. No need to go silent, only to add one thing you genuinely liked. People will start wanting you around and will not be able to say exactly why.
