Envy and appreciation use the same slot, and only one fits at a time. Scrolling through what somebody else pulled off while trying to feel good about your own week is a contradiction your head cannot hold, and the envy usually wins because it is louder and faster. Their result took nothing away from yours, though it will not feel that way while you keep looking.

When the sour feeling starts, do one of two things: close the app, or send them something genuine about it. Either one breaks the loop. Then get back to whatever you were building.
