Attention creates depth repetition alone cannot.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Doing something many times without attention produces familiarity, not depth. Real improvement comes from repetitions where you are actually noticing what is happening and adjusting, which is a much more demanding activity. Volume alone can leave you exactly where you started.

In your next practice session, do fewer repetitions with full attention on one specific aspect. Notice the difference in what you learn. Attention is the ingredient that makes repetition worth anything.
