Plan B isn’t a downgrade. Sometimes it’s the plan that actually fits.

Plan A was designed by a version of you with less information, often borrowed from what sounded impressive at the time. The second option tends to be built after you have seen the work up close and know what you can stand. Calling it a fallback keeps you half committed to something you have already outgrown. Some second choices are simply better choices found late.

Describe both options as if a friend were choosing between them, with no history attached. Notice which one you would recommend. If it is the second, stop calling it second and give it your full attention for a month.
