CREATIVITY
What you care about and how you earn a living are two different layers, and people confuse them constantly. Leaving a field can feel like a betrayal of who you are, when it is usually just a change in the setting where the same commitments operate. Wanting to be useful, or precise, or around people, travels with you. The job is the container, not the contents.
Write down three things you would want to be true of any work you do. Hold them up against the field you are considering and see whether they fit. Let the values decide, and treat the title as a detail.
Which values would travel with you into a completely different job?
