Try one thing this week the old you would’ve said no to.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
Identity is maintained by a long series of refusals you no longer examine. Each automatic no keeps the current shape intact, which is efficient and also how a life quietly narrows. One deliberate yes creates evidence that the shape is negotiable. The specific thing matters less than proving the rule is not fixed.
Pick something small enough to do in an afternoon and unfamiliar enough to feel slightly wrong. Say yes before you have time to build the case against it. Afterward, note what you learned, including if the answer is that you still do not like it.
Would you say yes this week to something you normally refuse?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
