Be a vault. Things go in, nothing comes out, and people notice you never leak.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Being someone whose word stays put is a quiet and rare advantage. People sort their friends into two piles without telling you, based on whether something they said once came back around. Which pile you land in decides what you ever get told. Nobody announces the sorting, so it is easy to miss until you notice how little you are hearing.

The rule is simple and hard: if it was not yours, it does not move, not to your closest friend and not dressed up as a question. The exception is danger, and telling an adult then is helping rather than leaking.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Has anything you were told privately ever escaped through you?
