Return before guilt turns one missed day into a month.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Guilt is a poor motivator because it makes the thing you skipped unpleasant to think about, and you avoid what is unpleasant. So one missed day becomes three, and three becomes a month, driven entirely by the discomfort of facing it rather than by any real obstacle. The longer you wait, the heavier the return feels.

Come back before the guilt has time to accumulate, even if the return is tiny and imperfect. Skip the reckoning about why you stopped. Just do the next small piece and let that be the whole response.
