Do not punish imperfect consistency by replacing it with perfect absence.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A strange logic says that if you cannot do it properly, you should not do it at all. Followed honestly, it converts a slightly disappointing effort into a complete absence, which is worse by every measure. The imperfect version was never the problem. Abandoning it is.
Watch for the moment you catch yourself thinking that a partial effort is not worth making. That thought is not high standards. Do the partial thing anyway and see how much less it costs than you predicted.
What did you give up entirely because it was going imperfectly?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
