Maintain connection to the objective even when output temporarily shrinks.

LEADERSHIP
Output rises and falls for reasons that have nothing to do with commitment. What matters through the low stretches is whether the objective stays live in your mind, because a goal you have stopped thinking about quietly ceases to be a goal at all. Connection is cheaper to maintain than to rebuild.
On weeks when you cannot produce much, keep the aim in view some other way. Read something about it, sketch the next step, talk it through with someone. The point is that when capacity returns, you are still pointed the same way.
What are you still aiming at during a season of small output?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
