You’re allowed to be exhausted. Just don’t quit in front of the people who are counting on you to keep going.

Being tired is not a character flaw and it does not need a defence. The point here is timing: exhaustion is real and it is also contagious, and the moment you announce you are done in front of people who are hanging on, they get permission to stop too. You are allowed to need rest. You just get to choose where you set it down.
Find one person outside the group who gets the unfiltered version of how tired you are. Take the rest somewhere real, a full night or an afternoon with nothing in it. Come back steady because you actually got something, not because you are pretending.
Who is counting on you while you run on empty?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
