LEADERSHIP
Specialist language does two jobs and only one of them is communication. It also marks who is inside and who is not, which is why it feels good to use and bad to hear. If people have to decode a sentence before acting on it, most will nod and then do whatever they were already doing. That is not their failing.
Say your next instruction in the plainest words you have, even if it sounds less impressive. Ask someone new to repeat it back. Every word they stumble on is a word you can drop.
Which words do you use that others quietly do not understand?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
