You’ve watched forty tutorials. Build one ugly thing and you’ll learn more than all forty taught you.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
Watching somebody competent do a thing creates a convincing sense of understanding that collapses the moment you try it yourself. The gap sits in all the small decisions the tutorial never mentioned, because the person making it had stopped noticing them. Building something bad surfaces every one of those. That is the actual curriculum, and it is not available any other way.
Make the worst possible version of something this week and finish it. Do not restart when it gets ugly, since the ugly parts are where the learning is. Then watch one more tutorial afterward and notice how much more of it you can hear.
What ugly first version could you build before watching another tutorial?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
