Every field started as somebody refusing to let an ordinary thing stay ordinary. The question is unimpressive when it happens, which is the point. It arrives in a kitchen or a garage, aimed at something nobody else in the room found interesting, and the only difference between the people who end up building things and the people who do not is whether they went and found out.

Catch the next time you think it and do not let the moment pass. Write the question down, then spend fifteen minutes actually chasing it. Most will go nowhere, and one of them will not.
