Spend one Saturday volunteering and your whole list of problems will quietly rearrange itself.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Spending a day inside somebody else’s situation does not shrink your own problems, and anyone who says it should is skipping something. What it does is reorder them. Things that had crept to the top of the list slide quietly down, and something you had been ignoring for months turns out to be the one that actually matters to you.
Give one Saturday to something with real work in it. A food bank, a shelter, a clean-up, a neighbour who needs the heavy things moved. Go back to your own list on Sunday and see what moved by itself.
Which Saturday could you give to someone who needs hands?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
