Every day hands you the same raw material: time, people and choices. Meaning is what you build out of it.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Each morning arrives with the same three supplies, whatever else is going on: some hours, some people nearby, and choices about what to do with both. The mix is not equal for everyone and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. Even so, nobody gets handed meaning already assembled. It gets built out of whatever is in front of you that day.
Before school or work tomorrow, name one thing you intend to make out of the day, something specific like a conversation you will start. Look back in the evening and see whether you used the material.
What will you build from the plain hours you get tomorrow?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
