Describe your day like you’re telling a friend. It sounds less like a disaster and more like a story.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
How you narrate a day changes what the day was. Listed as complaints it reads as a pile of things that went wrong. Told as a story to somebody who likes you, the same events get an order, a middle and a funny part, and you can suddenly see where you handled something well. The facts do not move at all.
Try it out loud on the walk home or in a message to a friend. Give the day a beginning and an end instead of a list, and notice what you choose to keep.
