Your purpose doesn’t have to be world-changing. Making your little sister feel safe counts.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Purpose gets sold as something enormous, which puts it conveniently out of reach and lets everyone off the hook. The real unit is much smaller. Somebody in your house feeling safer because you are around is an actual effect on an actual person, and it is not a placeholder for a bigger purpose arriving later.
Name the two or three people whose week you genuinely affect, then do one deliberate thing for one of them. Walk your sister to the bus, cook without being asked, sit through the thing they wanted to show you.
Who sleeps easier because you are around?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
