Read something you wrote two years ago. The person who was panicking made it through.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Two years ago you were certain something was going to end you, and here you are, unable to recall most of the details. Old writing is evidence rather than reassurance, which is why it works better than anybody telling you it will be fine. The person on that page had no idea how it turned out. You do, and you are the proof.
Go and find an old note, message or journal page and read it properly. Then write something today for the version of you two years out, including what is frightening right now. Date it and leave it somewhere findable.
What were you panicking about when you last wrote things down?
