Clean clothes don’t fold themselves, and dinner doesn’t just appear. Somebody is doing work you don’t see.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Somebody in your house is running a shift you never see. The clothes come back folded, the fridge refills, the bin goes out, and none of it announces itself, which is how invisible work stays invisible. Noticing is genuinely hard because the whole system is built to feel automatic, and it only becomes visible on the day it stops.
Pick one of those jobs this week and do it without being asked and without mentioning it afterwards. Then thank whoever usually does it, naming the specific task rather than thanking them for everything.
Which chores in your house happen without you ever seeing them?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
