Some things get better because you had to wait for them. Instant isn’t always an upgrade.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Some things are improved by waiting rather than merely delayed by it. Dough, a friendship, a skill, an argument you did not send at midnight, each of them needs elapsed time to become what it is, and no amount of effort compresses that. Rushing them does not hand you an early version. It hands you a different and worse thing.

Work out which parts of your life are the slow kind, then stop measuring those weekly. Let one of them take the time it needs without you checking on it constantly.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Was something better for you because you had to wait?
