A single sentence from you can live in someone’s head for twenty years. Make it one worth keeping.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
One sentence can outlive the conversation it came from by twenty years. Somebody is still hearing a thing a teacher said in passing, or a line a friend threw out in a corridor without thinking about it at all. Nobody can tell in the moment which sentence will stick, which means the careless ones have exactly the same chance as the kind ones.
Say the good thing out loud instead of assuming people already know. Tell somebody specifically what they are good at this week. When you are angry, slow down, because those sentences store just as well.
Which sentence someone said to you still lives in your head?
