The youngest cousin at the family party is taking notes on how you act. Give them something worth copying.

Younger kids learn from what they watch, not from what they are told. Whoever is a few years behind you is quietly deciding what a teenager is supposed to be like, and you are one of the samples. They are not copying your opinions. They are copying how you handle losing, whether you are kind to people who cannot do anything for you.
At the next family thing, pick one behavior you would be happy to see repeated and do it where they can see. Include them in something instead of waiting to be asked. It takes ten minutes and they will remember it for years.
What are your younger cousins learning from watching you?
