The drawing no one ever sees still changed the person who made it.

Work does its main job on the person doing it. The hand learns, the eye gets sharper, the thing you were avoiding gets easier, and none of that requires anyone else to look. Posting is a separate activity from making, and confusing the two is how people stop starting anything they cannot show.

Make something this week with no plan to post it. Decide that before you begin, so the making does not get reshaped into an audition. Notice whether it is easier or harder to start without the audience in the room.
