Rest doesn’t need an excuse. Your phone charges without apologizing.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Rest gets treated as something you must earn with enough output first, which is why so many people only stop once they have collapsed. It is maintenance, not a prize. Nobody thinks a charging phone is being lazy, and nobody asks it what it accomplished today. The tiredness you are pushing through is information, not a character flaw to be overridden.
Put one rest block in the week before you are wrecked, not after. An hour with nothing scheduled and nothing owed. When the guilt shows up, and it will, notice that you do not actually apply that standard to anybody else you care about.
Why do you feel you must earn a day off?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
