The sun takes all day to cross the sky and nobody calls it slow. Some things are supposed to take the long way.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Speed is not a virtue in everything. Some processes have a required length, and pushing on them does not shorten the time, it just damages what you were making. Healing works that way, and so does learning something properly, and so does trust after it has been broken. Calling yourself slow for taking the amount of time the thing takes is a strange habit that nobody applies outside of people.

Name one thing you are currently rushing. Find out roughly how long it actually takes most people, from somebody who has done it. Then set your expectation to that number instead of the one impatience picked.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What are you rushing that was never meant to be quick?
