Patience isn’t doing nothing. It’s knowing which things only grow on their own clock.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Patience gets mistaken for sitting still, when it is really a sorting skill. Some things respond to more effort and some only respond to time: dough, healing, a friendship rebuilding, a body getting stronger. Pushing on the second kind does not speed it up, it just uses you up and sometimes ruins the result. Knowing which pile a thing belongs in is the whole job.
Take whatever is frustrating you right now and split it into two lists: what more effort would actually move, and what only time will move. Work hard on the first list. On the second, your only task is not interfering.
