When you blame everyone else, you hand them the steering wheel too.

Locating the whole cause outside yourself also locates the whole solution there. That is the cost of blame, and it applies even when you are right about who did what: if nothing about the situation runs through you, then nothing about it can be changed by you either. Plenty of things genuinely are other people’s doing.

Take the situation annoying you most and find the part that is yours, even if it is a small share. Not to take the blame for the rest of it. Just to locate the one lever that is actually in your hand, and then use it.
