You were worth something before you were useful to anyone.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Worth and usefulness get tangled together early, especially when most of the praise you heard was for producing something: grades, points, a shift covered, a chore done without being asked. None of that built your value. It only decorated something that was already there before you could do anything for anybody.
Watch for the moment you start earning your place in a room. Try an hour this week where you are not being helpful or impressive, just present, and notice that the floor still holds. That steadiness is the part nobody hands you and nobody can take back.
What would you be worth on a day you produced nothing?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
