Originality is just being honest about how you see things.

Trying to be original usually produces something strained, because it starts from what everyone else has done and works to dodge it. The way through is smaller than that. Say what you actually noticed, in the words you actually use, including the part that seems too obvious or too strange to mention. Nobody else was standing where you were standing.

In your next assignment or post, keep the one line you were going to cut for being too much yours. Let it stay in. That line is usually the reason anyone remembers the rest.
