Not every topic needs your hot take.

There is real pressure now to have a position on everything within an hour of hearing about it, and to state it like you are sure. Most opinions formed that fast are borrowed, and later they get defended out of pride rather than belief. Having nothing to say yet is not the same as having nothing.

Let one thing go by this week without weighing in. Read about it instead, or ask someone who has thought about it longer than you have. Your actual opinion may show up a week later, and it will be worth more than the fast one.
