Being on time is a quiet way of telling people they matter.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Lateness says something whether you mean it to or not, because the other person spent that time waiting on you. Repeated often enough, it tells them their schedule bends around yours. Arriving when you said says the reverse without anyone having to mention it, which is why it registers as respect rather than as a rule being followed.
Be five minutes early to one thing this week that you usually cut close. Leave earlier rather than moving faster. Notice how different the first two minutes feel when you are not apologizing through them.
Who do you keep waiting most often, and why them?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
