Your brain lies the most at 2 a.m. Don’t sign any contracts with it then.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Late at night your judgment is running on low fuel and no perspective. Everything feels permanent, every problem arrives stripped of its context, and the conclusions carry a certainty they will not survive daylight with. What you decide about your life at that hour is a report on how tired you are rather than on your life.
Make yourself a rule about it this week: nothing gets decided, sent or concluded after midnight. Write the thought down and leave it for morning. If it still looks true at nine with food in you, then it is worth taking seriously.
What have you concluded about yourself late at night?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
