Your parents are learning how to parent you for the first time too. Nobody gets a practice run.

The adults in your house are improvising more than they let on. They have never raised the person you are now, at the age you are now, and no manual covers it. Some of what they get wrong is not indifference, it is a first attempt. That does not make the wrong things fine, it just explains them.

Try telling one of them what you actually need instead of waiting for them to guess. Be specific: more room, or more company, or fewer questions at dinner. They may surprise you, and if they do not, you at least stop guessing at each other.
