Remixes prove that old things aren’t finished. They’re waiting for new hands.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Old work is material, not a monument. A track that finished years ago is a set of parts, and someone else hearing what the original maker did not hear is how most new things get made, since everything borrows from something. Finished does not mean closed. It means available.

Go back to something you abandoned and treat it as raw material rather than a failure. Take one line, one idea, one image out of it and build something else around that. And when someone reworks something you made, that is not theft of the thing, it is proof it had something in it.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What old thing of yours could you rework into something new?
