Streaks only matter because breaking them is so easy. Day 212 means you had 211 chances to quit.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
A long run is impressive for a reason people usually miss. Its value is not the total, it is the number of times you could have stopped and did not, each one a small decision made alone. Anybody can do one good day. What is rare is the two hundred boring ones nobody saw.
Count what you have already sustained, not what you have not started. Then protect the chain with a version so small it survives a terrible day: two pushups, one page, one sentence. The point is not the size, it is the unbroken line.
What streak of yours are you quietly proud of?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
