Advice is cheap to hand out, because the person giving it never has to live inside the result. Your coach, your aunt, the friend with opinions about your future, they all go home afterward. You are the one who wakes up inside the choice for years.

Listen all the way through next time somebody maps out your life, then ask yourself who carries it if it goes badly. If the answer is only you, take a day before you agree to anything.
