A free Saturday with zero plans is a small luxury. Don’t rush to fill it.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Empty time makes people nervous, so the first instinct is to spend it: say yes to something, make a plan, at least fill it with errands. Then Sunday night arrives and the one open stretch you had went to other people again. Unclaimed hours are not wasted hours. They are the only part of the week that gets to become whatever it turns into.
Leave one Saturday unplanned all the way to the morning of, and decide once you wake up. You might read, you might sleep late, you might end up doing something better than anything you would have booked in advance.
How would you spend an entirely empty Saturday?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
