Up close it’s a bad day. From a distance it’s one frame in a long movie. Adjust the zoom.

REFLECTION
Distance changes weight. In the middle of a bad day it fills all the available space, because your attention has nowhere else to be. Stand back far enough and it becomes one day inside a long run of days, most of them ordinary and some of them good. Neither view is lying to you; they are different lenses.
When today feels total, ask what it will look like from next month. Not to wave it off, since it genuinely is hard. Only to remember that the frame is small and the film is long.
Which bad day still looks enormous when you stand close?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
