There’s always someone standing on the edge of the circle. Take one step back and make room.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Groups close without meaning to. A circle forms, shoulders turn slightly inward, and whoever is half a step outside cannot get in without interrupting, which almost nobody is willing to do. Usually there is no unkindness in it at all. It is geometry, and geometry changes the moment one person moves.

Watch for the edge this week and open the shape instead of issuing an invitation. Step back, turn a little, ask a question the newer person can answer. Being let in is much easier to accept when it is not announced as a favour.
