In somebody else’s story, you’re a side character they remember from one line you said. Make it a good line.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Most of the people you pass through will keep one small thing from you and lose the rest. A sentence in a hallway, a joke on the bus, the one time you noticed they got a haircut. You do not get to choose which sentence sticks, only what kind of sentences you tend to hand out. That makes the ordinary ones matter more than any big speech.

This week, pick somebody you barely talk to and say the useful thing out loud. Name what they did well, or ask the question nobody else thought to ask them.
