Certain people stop looking. Curious people keep finding things.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Certainty feels like an arrival, and the second you arrive you stop searching. That is why the person who already knows how the class works, how the job works, how their friend will react, keeps getting surprised in bad ways. Curiosity is not being unsure of everything. It is leaving one door unlocked for new information, and the open door is what keeps finding things.

Take something you are sure about this week and ask a real question about it. Ask the person you assumed you understood what they actually think, then let the answer change your notes.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What have you decided you already understand well enough?
