Some goals grow underground for years before anybody sees the tree.

Root systems take years and show nothing above the surface. Plenty of worthwhile work behaves the same way, building capacity and understanding invisibly, and the visible result appears suddenly in a way that looks like luck to everyone who missed the underground part.

If you are in an invisible phase, check the inputs rather than the outputs. Are you learning, building, deepening? If yes, the absence of visible result is a timing question, not a verdict.
