You can’t move forward carrying a list of everything you did wrong at sixteen. Forgive the rookie.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Mistakes made early were made with early equipment. You had less practice, less information, and a brain still working out how consequences function, so holding that version to today’s standard is a rigged comparison. Guilt that never converts into anything just becomes weight. Carrying it does not make you more responsible, it only makes the next few years heavier than they need to be.

Pick one thing off that list and decide whether anything is still owed. If it is, go do it. If not, let yourself set the item down, which is not the same as pretending it never happened.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What would you forgive a younger kid for but not yourself?
