Your search history knows your curiosity better than your résumé does. Chase what you actually look up.

A resume records what you were credited for, which is mostly what somebody else gave you a chance to do. What you type in at midnight was assigned by nobody. It comes from a question you actually wanted answered, and over months those questions add up to a fairly accurate map of where your attention goes when nothing is at stake.

Scroll back through what you have looked up lately and group it roughly. One theme will show up more than you expected. Follow that one past a search result, into a book, a class, or somebody who does it for a living.
