After a betrayal, don’t announce the new boundary. Just quietly stop sharing what they used against you.

Announcing a change invites a negotiation about it. The person who let you down gets to argue, apologize, explain, and suddenly you are defending a decision that was entirely yours to make. Simply sharing less requires no permission and no discussion. They may not even notice for a while, which is fine, because the change was for you rather than for them.
You do not owe anyone a speech about what you are no longer telling them. Keep things friendly if you want, and just let the deeper conversations go elsewhere. Notice how much lighter it feels to protect something without justifying it.
Do you still share things with someone who used them against you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
