Read the terms before you sign anything, the contract, the lease, the friendship. The fine print is where the power lives.

LEADERSHIP
The details nobody reads are exactly where the important conditions live. This is true of paperwork and it is true of arrangements between people: what happens if you want out, who decides, what you are quietly agreeing to give. Assuming it will be reasonable is a choice, not a fact.
Before you agree to anything this week, read it all the way through and ask what happens if it goes badly. With a friendship or a favor, ask the same thing in plain words: what are you expecting from me here. Nobody reasonable is offended by a question asked early.
What did you agree to without knowing the actual terms?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
