The friend who’s always online knows every rumor. The friend who’s mostly offline usually knows what actually happened.

Being everywhere at once gets you volume, not accuracy. Constant scrolling collects versions of events, opinions about versions, and reactions to opinions, all of which arrive faster than anyone can check them. The person who was actually in the room has fewer stories and better ones. Speed and truth are not the same supply chain.
When something big happens in your group, go to the person who was there rather than the person who posts most. Ask what they saw, not what they heard. Before you repeat anything, check which of the two you are being, because it is easy to become the fast source by accident.
