Never leave the house in the middle of a fight you’d hate to have as the last thing you said.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Arguments end on a pause far more often than on a conclusion, and the pause can sit there for days while each person waits for the other to move. There is almost always time to fix it later. The reason to close the loop early is not fear; it is that carrying something unfinished costs you the whole day and takes roughly one sentence to set down.
Before you leave angry, say one true thing that is not the argument. I love you and I am still annoyed works fine. Finish the rest when you can both hear it.
