Ten-year-old you had big plans. You don’t have to follow all of them, but you owe that kid a few.

Ten-year-old you picked things without checking whether they were practical or whether anybody would be impressed. Most of those plans should not survive contact with real information, and one or two were about what you genuinely enjoy, which gets much harder to detect once you have learned to be sensible. That signal is worth keeping.

Name one thing that kid was set on and find the adult-sized version. Not the career, just the activity: the drawing, the animals, the building, the being on stage. Give it two hours this month and see what happens.
